We believe in rewarding our people well and offer a competitive basic salary and generous commission and bonuses, and we ideally like to see our consultants earning at least double their basic salary in bonuses and commissions.

KPI Bonus Scheme

We are KPI driven here, and we have a £200 monthly bonus which is very achievable, if you do your job effectively you will hit this every month.

Commission Scheme

Up to 20% of your billings paid monthly, with an additional quarterly bonus paying a cash amount + additional 10% meaning you can earn over 30% of what you bill.

Pension Scheme

The pension is 8%, we contribute 3% towards that. We are in the NEST scheme.

Equity Opportunity.

We offer shares in the company to our managers and top performers. Once you have equity, we can pay some of your bonuses in dividends, which are much more tax efficient.

Shortly after starting with us, you will be provided with a work mobile phone, it’s an important part of our toolkit.

Free parking / Season ticket loan

We offer free parking & season ticket loans to our staff. In some of the offices parking is unavailable and of course we will still provide a season ticket loan.

Monthly Lunch

We set a monthly target, starting at a low threshold, which can result in team pizzas and takeaways running up to a fine dining lunch for the whole team at a top restaurant, followed by drinks.

Christmas Party

Every year, we host a big event for Christmas that includes daily lunches from local restaurants and takeaways leading up to the main Christmas party day. On this day, we gather for our annual team meeting, awards ceremony, and celebration, which lasts throughout the day and into the night….

Time off

Closed Christmas & New Year

We are always closed over the Christmas period and will often give extra days at either end to extend the holiday period as far as possible.

Holiday Allowance

23 days initially, going up to 25 after one years’ service and 27 after 3 years’ service. Bank holidays on top.

Leisure and Sports

Some of our consultants play to a high level in sports or have some unusual and interesting hobbies. As a result, we offer an accommodation for time off, early finishes, late starts, and extended lunches to allow them to participate in competitions and training without compromising their holiday allowance.

Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Leave

We follow the government guidelines and allowances for paternity, maternity, and adoption leave.

Flexibility

Work-life balance is important to us.

Start & finish times

We start at 8:30 and work through to 5.30 with an hour for lunch. On Friday’s we finish at 4.30. By arrangement we can offer earlier and later start and finish times and finishes to suit people’s lives. We offer full flexibility for childcare commitments before & after work.

Lunch

We take an hour and its completely up to you when you take it, we also allow longer lunch breaks for exercise, sports practice, or anything else you need to do that can’t be done in the hour.

Working from home

We have a diverse range of working arrangements within our teams, including fully remote workers, full-time office workers, and various hybrid options in between. That said, our current team-based delivery models mean that it is most optimal working together in the office, and when trainees initially join us, office based will be the standard working pattern. For experienced consultants we are open to accommodating any type of working arrangement that suits both the employee and the business.

Office Environment

We are a sociable bunch of people, and we have positive and friendly working environment in our offices, with lots of laughs and jokes thrown in. We are focused on revenue for the business, and understandably a lot of conversations tend to err towards the placements about to be done and any issues that need resolved around them.

Working Hours

8.30-5.30 with an hour for lunch. 4.30 finish on a Friday

Dress-Code

There is no dress code! Wear what you like in the office, obviously if you’re meeting clients and candidates, suited, and booted but in the office anything goes.

Free Drinks & Lite bites

We offer free tea and coffee (from a proper coffee machine) and we also have a selection of canned soft drinks. We offer healthy snacks people can graze on anytime.

Breakout Areas

Our offices all have areas or spaces where you can eat lunch, take a call, or relax.

Technology & Toolkit

We have fast PC’s and all work on dual screens, this set-up can be extended to home use also. We use the Vincere CRM and utilise a number of other cloud-based apps and sourcing tools to turbocharge our consultants’ capabilities. All consultants are provided with a work mobile phone.

We like to focus on people’s strengths and developing them so they can become the best recruiters that they can be, we want our people to think this is a great place to learn.

Structured Entry-Level Training

Our trainees have a structured one to one training programme, where you will gradually build all the skills, tools and know-how to succeed as a recruiter at EC Property Recruitment.

We use external training partners to ensure that our people receive the best in industry knowledge and skills.

Whilst we do have collaborative working, you will be responsible for your own outcomes and accountable to yourself, there is nobody looking over your shoulder and you will be trusted to deliver.

Here are two profiles of consultants that currently work for us, performing two of the key roles that we have at EC Property Recruitment. They are illustrative of what you can expect to be doing day-to-day when working for us. Because finding the right candidates is such an important part of our business model, candidate search is the role you are most likely performing when you initially join us. The skills you will develop in sourcing and searching for candidates will be second to none, and these skills will equip you to deal with all other aspects of recruitment.
  • Vicky works on a London construction desk and is fully focused on candidates in her role, where she specialises in sourcing and profiling candidates, after which presents them with great opportunities. This position demands a high level of skill, where Vicky sources candidates and carefully guides them toward their best career moves. To be successful, Vicky has to be highly adaptive, and this position requires strong questioning, presentation, organisational, and negotiation skills. Outside of work, Vicky enjoys going for long walks with her dog, drawing, and watching movies.

  • Rory is focused on our clients and business development, primarily working within the construction, and building consultancy space. He engages with his clients to understand their recruitment requirements, which involves asking in-depth questions about their company, sector coverage, culture, and organisational structure to ensure the best possible candidate fit. Rory oversees the recruitment process from the client's perspective and maintains close involvement with both candidates and the client during the job offer stage. In addition, Rory is also a highly experienced candidate sourcer and takes a leading role in searching for candidates when it is a complex or senior appointment. Rory spends a lot of time on the phone, on Teams, and visiting his clients. Outside of work, Rory enjoys spending a significant amount of time playing golf and currently maintains an impressive +3 handicap.
